ZBenchmark: Desktop Tool
I’m proud to announce a new tool for benchmarking your machine: Zoorender Benchmark (desktop tool).
You can download it for free, it’s an executable which will launch a scene to test your machine without the need to open Maya GUI, so it’s faster this way. Yes, you could launch a command line render and obtain the same result, but this goes further: You can see a table with the best results, taken from Zoorender’s database, and when the benchmark is finished, you can submit your results directly from the program; no need to even open the browser!
Here you can see some screenshots from the program:
When you open the program, first thing you’ll see is a big PLAY button at the top (this starts the benchmark), and a table of results taken live from our website. Only the best 10 results are shown here, as a “hall of fame”

When you hit the play button, render starts…

…and statistics are shown during the progress

When finished, the time used to render is shown, and you can click on “submit results to zoorender” or go back to the main page without submitting

If you decide to submit your result, you have to fill some info on this form, and by hitting “submit” you’ll send your result to Zoorender database!

This software is for windows only; a Mac widget is available courtesy of our friends at Synthe FX.com
That’s all! Be sure to read the readme.txt included in the package.

NOTE: This software is free. Is offered as-is, with no support. It has been analysed by an updated antivirus, and nothing was found. However, I strongly recommend everybody to analyse it before executing the program. I take no responsability for any damage or data loss to your computer, so use this under your own risk.
